Faster ISP Logon

You can save a minute or two each time you dial-up a specific Internet access connection.  Most ISP's use only TCP/IP networking protocols.  Most also do not require Windows to log on to their systems.

Open the Dial-up Networking folder under MY Computer

or

Start/Programs/Accessories

Right click on your Internet Connection icon

and choose Properties.

Click on the Server Types tab.

Under Advanced Options, remove the check mark beside "Log on to network".

Under allowed Network Protocols, remove the checks beside NetBEUI and IPX/SPX Compatible. 

Click on OK and test the connection to make sure it still works.
