How to Install White Pine Pro5

Beginning Install

IF you receive this ERROR message as you start your install:

"Setup detected that you have an old version of the Microsoft Library Runtime (MFC Dlls) installed on your system. Microsoft has posted an update of this library and we strongly recommend you to use it."

This means that you have to either upgrade your IE to 5.5 or get Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pk 1 and Internet Tools here:      http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

Make sure you have disabled the "Script debugging"  feature in your IE options (advanced tab) or you will not complete the install of the Service Pack.

Once the download is completed and the automatic install of the Service Pack is finished you can restart the Pro5 install.

Click on NEXT

Enter the Serial Number, then click on NEXT

If you have Pro4 installed this is where it will remove the Pro4 version

This is where you can choose to Import your version 3.x phone book and contact list

Uncheck the boxes if you do not wish any to be imported

If you have Pro4, the install will detect an existing address book and ask if you wish to import that also

Uncheck it if you do not wish to import the Pro4 address book

Uncheck the options if you do not wish to start Pro5 until later

The install does not put a icon on your desktop so you will have to create your own shortcut.

Go to C:\ Program Files\CUseeMe  Folder

Find the Amigo.exe file.  That is icon you need to make a shortcut for your desktop 

You have completed the install!
  Next step is the Setup Assistant
