Quick Setup for Pro4

The following is a step-by-step installation guide to configure V4.x to work with

CU-Central services

Change your Send / Receive	Change Video Quality	Change your Nick
Change the Codec	Turn off Auto Open Vids	Shut down CU Core
Change Video Size	Add a Video Chat room to List

Set Rates /Codec / Video Size / Video Quality

1.Start the V4.0 Conferencing Companion

2.Select "Tools" from the menu bar and the "Preferences" option.

                            OR

3.Select the "Network" icon from the left hand frame.

4.Click the "Custom" button

5.Set Send to 20 and Receive to 40

6.Select the "Advanced Settings" icon from the left hand frame.

7.Scroll down to the "Conference" option and make sure there is no check mark in the "Auto Open" feature.

8.Scroll further down to the "Video" option and put a check in the "H.263" feature

9.Just below is the "Video Size" option and set a check in the "Sub-QCIF" feature.

10.  Select the Video icon from the left hand frame  

11.  Make sure there is a check mark in the "Auto Send Video" option at the top.

12.  Make sure that the scroll bar for the "You Prefer to Send" is in the middle between Faster and Better Quality

13.  APPLY and Exit.




To Add the cu-central video chat rooms to your V4.x address list...

1.start the Cu-SeeMe Conferencing companion

2.  Select addresses from the left hand column
3.  Select conferences from the button bar on top

4.enter the name of a cu-central video chat room

5.  Enter the address of a cu-central video chat room

6.  If a member, add the CU-Central members conference ID leave the password blank

7.  Do this for each video chat room listed at CU-Central

To save the list and not lose it you have to make sure your CU Core is shutdown completely.

Alt+Ctl+del ONCE go down the list and shutdown CUcore

To set your nickname under V4.x....

1.  Start the Cu-SeeMe Conferencing companion

2.  Select tools and preferences from the menu bar

                                   OR

  3.  Select "personal information" from the left hand column

4.  Fill in the blank listed as "Nickname" with your CU-Central authorized nickname
