QuickCam Pro (USB)
Make sure you are using the latest version of the QuickCam drivers. Logitech
QuickCam software updates can be found by using the Logitech Internet Update feature built
into your QuickCam Pro software (Camware).
The Logitech Internet Update program can be found in the Logitech QuickCam program group.
To launch it, click, "Start," "Programs," "Logitech QuickCam
Pro," and select "Logitech Internet Update".

There is a video streaming issue
between the CU-SeeMe Pro Program and the Quick cam Pro (USB) drivers. To compensate for
this you need to disable streaming video in CU-SeeMe Pro for this camera. Please follow
the instructions below.
WARNING! BE AWARE THAT ANY IMPROPER CHANGES MADE WHEN MODIFYING THE WINDOWS REGISTRY CAN
POTENTIALLY CRIPPLE YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE MADE A BACKUP OF YOUR
REGISTRY BEFORE
MAKING ANY EDITS!
To back up your Registry:
1. Go to the Start menu
2. Select Run
3. Type in: regedit then click on OK
4. In the Registry Editor window select Export Registry File from the Registry menu
5. From the pull-down menu at the top of the Export Registry File window, select Desktop
(this will place your backup file on your
system's desktop)
6. Name the file (Regbackup for example) and click on Save
To patch the Windows Registry and fix this problem:
1. Download the new Registry Key QuickCam Pro.reg
2. Place this file on your Desktop
3. Double click on the icon
4. When you are prompted "Are you sure you want to add the information in
C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\QuickCamPro.reg to the registry?" Click Yes
If the problem still persists, it means that the above Registry Key did not make the
necessary edit to your registry and you will need to edit
your registry manually. Please follow the following instructions to edit your registry
manually:
1. Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

2. Go to SOFTWARE

3. Go to White Pine

4. Go to Desktop Conferencing\WPVideo\Configuration

5. Right-click on the configuration folder
6. Create a new key

7. Name this key: Logitech Quick Cam Pro Video Camera

8. Right-click in the right-hand box under DEFAULT
9. A box should come up saying NEW, click on STRING VALUE

10. Name this string value: Enable Streaming


11. Double-click on this now and set the value data to: 0 (this is a zero)


12. Close your registry and restart your computer.
