INSTALLING h.263 CODEC
For Windows 98
Unzip the h263 file after you have downloaded it and move/expand into a directory of your choosing. I suggest making a folder named h263 under the C:\
There will be 2 folders after unzipping : Oemsetup.inf vx1000s.dll

not Plug and Pray, tell it "No, I want to select the hardware from a list" and

new version
of H.263 are displayed, select NEW
otherwise
Click finish to copy and install the codec files.

The new software H.263 codec is now installed and ready for use. Windows 98 asks to restart your computer.
Our experience is this is not needed to use the new codec. If you experience problems, then go ahead and restart.
